The basics
What it is, common misconceptions
What is marketing strategy planning for a business?+
Marketing strategy planning means getting clear on who you sell to, why they should choose you, and what path leads them to buy, then turning that into a system your team can run. It isn't a lesson in running ads, writing copy or hosting events, and it doesn't end with handing you a plan document. As I often say: "I don't tell you what to do. I tell you what you're missing right now."
What problems does marketing strategy planning actually solve?+
It answers four fundamental questions:
- Who are you selling to?
- Why should they choose you?
- What path leads them to buy?
- How do you turn them into loyal customers?
Frameworks like SWOT, STP, the 7Ps and the customer journey all deal with these same four questions.
What's the difference between a marketing strategy and a marketing plan?+
A marketing plan is a document; strategy planning is a system that actually runs. A plan often gets handed over, and back at the office no one knows what to do first. I build the direction, priorities, execution SOPs and review metrics together, so your team can move and you just watch the numbers.
What's the difference between marketing strategy and a sales process?+
Marketing brings strangers to your door; the sales process turns the people at your door into paying customers. You need both. Great marketing with gaps in the sales process means customers come in and slip right back out; a perfect process with no traffic just spins its wheels.

Benefits
Impact on revenue, costs and your team
How does marketing strategy planning actually help my business?+
The most direct change is that you know where to put your money and people first. Looking at resource integration, resource allocation and cost control, I help you cut labor costs, sunk costs and the cost of trial and error. I don't promise sales figures, but every step gets a metric so it can be tracked and adjusted.
Can strategy planning help me save on my marketing budget?+
The goal isn't to spend less; it's to spend effectively. Every bit of your marketing budget should be accounted for, with resources concentrated by priority instead of spread evenly. The plan spells out which ads to keep running and which tools you don't need right now.
I'm the owner and I still have to oversee all our marketing myself. Can strategy planning fix that?+
Yes, that's exactly what I want to solve. The strategy is turned into SOPs your team can execute, with a metric for every step, so things move without you watching over them. "Build structure with strategy, buy freedom with systems." You move from doing the work back to reading the numbers and making decisions.
How does strategy planning affect a brand in the long run?+
It takes you from "one big push" to "getting every wave right." I plan the market rhythm three to six months ahead, factoring in busy and slow months, holidays, stock-up cycles and seasonal changes, so resources go to the right place at the right time. The goal is a business that lasts.
03
Is it right for me?
When to do it, what to prepare
What kind of company is a good fit for marketing strategy planning?+
It's a good fit for companies that already have products and revenue but are stuck getting to the next stage. For example:
- You've taken over the family business or started your own, and want to grow it
- You have a team to execute, but no clear direction
- The first generation built a factory, connections and capital, and you want to reach new markets
- Aesthetic clinics, traditional businesses in transition, and SMEs with monthly revenue around the NT$1 million range
When is it not a good idea to hire you for strategy planning?+
If you only want a plan document or a one-off consultation, expect to see sales next week, have no one to execute and want the consultant to do everything, or haven't yet figured out the direction of your business, now isn't the right time. If you're only looking for the cheapest option, or you're a startup with no revenue yet, I'll tell you upfront it's not a fit.
We don't have any marketing staff. Can we still do this?+
You need at least someone who can execute. I'm responsible for the direction, the system and the timing; your team has to carry out the work. If you have no one at all right now, you can start with a strategy session to get a clear picture, then decide whether to hire first or which area to start with.
I'm taking over the family business and want to transform it. Should I start with strategy planning?+
Yes, it's a great place to start, as long as you're doing it to keep the business growing, not just to prove something to the first generation. The factory, connections and capital they left are assets; strategy planning reallocates those resources and connects them to where today's customers are and how to reach them. Hi Sisters is one example: a 35-year-old garment factory that became its own jeans brand.
What do I need to prepare before we start working together?+
Be ready to share where your brand stands: products, customers, marketing you've done so far, budget and staffing. Before the strategy session you'll fill out a brand questionnaire, and the more honest the information, the more precisely I can pinpoint the problem. If you're not willing to share that information, it's hard for me to help.
04
How it works
Steps and deliverables
What does the marketing strategy planning process look like?+
It runs in five stages:
- Assessment: take stock of your resources and find the root of the problem
- Positioning: define your market and what sets you apart
- System building: lay the groundwork from first touchpoint to closing the sale
- Execution: put the strategy into action together with your team
- Validation: each stage has metrics, and we adjust if things go off track
What do I actually get from strategy planning?+
More than a report. You get a clear target customer and positioning direction, a path that takes people from strangers to repeat customers, SOPs your team can execute, and review metrics for every step. The exact scope is confirmed based on the strategy session and your needs.
What will I and my team need to do during the project?+
You provide real operating data and take part in key decisions; your team executes according to the SOPs. At each stage we review the numbers together: if we're on track we keep going, and if we drift we adjust right away. Building the foundation isn't easy, and it takes commitment to see it through.
What does the 60-minute strategy session cover?+
I look at your industry, sales process, marketing funnel, traffic sources, ad structure, social media and owned channels, and tell you directly where your biggest bottleneck is. You'll leave with three things: where the current problems are, the one thing most worth doing first this month, and recommendations on how to allocate your budget and people.
05
Pricing & terms
Prices, billing, what's included
How much does marketing strategy planning cost?+
Long-term strategy planning is quoted based on your needs; scope, duration and your current situation all affect it. I recommend starting with the 60-minute strategy session, NT$2,000, and deciding on further work once the problems are clear.
Can the strategy session fee be credited toward a longer engagement?+
Yes. The NT$2,000 fee for the 60-minute strategy session can be credited toward a long-term plan. You don't have to continue afterward; it's fine to do just this one session and leave with a direction.
How does the strategy session work, and how many spots are available?+
It's held online via Google Meet and lasts 60 minutes. You fill out a brand questionnaire beforehand and receive summary notes afterward. There are 8 spots each month, bookable through our LINE Official Account.
Can I do just one consultation without signing a long-term contract?+
Yes. The strategy session is a single service on its own, with no pressure to upgrade. But if you want a complete strategy planning system, that takes a period of working together, and a one-off consultation can't replace it. The contract format depends on your needs; you can confirm through a strategy session or a consultation on LINE.
06
Timeline
When it starts, when you'll see changes
After I book a strategy session, how soon can we start?+
You'll get a confirmation within 24 hours of booking, along with what you can prepare in advance. Within 24 hours after the session, you'll receive the conclusions and your priority actions. With only 8 spots a month, the actual time slot depends on that month's bookings.
How long does it take to see results from strategy planning?+
This is foundation work, not something that pays off in a month. Every stage has metrics, so you can see whether you're heading in the right direction, but it takes time for the system to get up and running. If you expect results within a month, this isn't the right engagement for you.
How long does a strategy planning engagement last?+
It depends on your situation and goals, which we can confirm through a strategy session first. I plan the market rhythm three to six months ahead, so the engagement needs to be long enough to hit those milestones and validate the numbers. I only take on clients who are ready to go the full distance.
What if it feels like nothing is working partway through?+
Building a foundation is painful, and there will be moments when it feels useless. That's why every stage has metrics, so we judge by the numbers, not by feel. I've seen too many people give up right before things start to change, so at every review we decide together what to adjust and what to keep doing.
07
For existing clients
What happens once we are working together
Is the strategy adjusted regularly over time?+
Yes. Every stage is validated against the numbers: if we're on track we keep going, and if we drift we adjust right away. Market rhythm, seasons and channel changes also shift priorities, so the strategy isn't set once and left alone.
Once strategy planning wraps up, how can we keep working together?+
Based on the stage reviews, we decide which area to go deeper on next. For example, once the system is in place, you might strengthen SEO & GEO, short video, brand visuals, customer relationships and the sales process, or run corporate training. The exact approach depends on your needs.
What real client cases have you worked on?+
I've worked with established brands across different industries:
- Grandma Yang, Keelung 楊阿嬤 (breakfast shop): zero ad spend, 300K+ views on a single video, followers grew from 600 to 6,000 in 6 months
- 瘋購百貨 (market store brand): 190K+ views, 12 franchise inquiries
- Pandora Aesthetics 潘朵拉美學: short video and social media, with content assets and GEO work in progress
- Hi Sisters: a 35-year-old garment factory that became its own jeans brand
Each result depends on the industry and how well execution was carried out, and is not a guarantee.
Can strategy planning also cover expanding my business into Indonesia?+
Yes. Starting in 2026, I'm helping Taiwanese companies expand cross-border into Indonesia. Holidays, shopping habits, channels, logistics and culture all differ between Taiwan and Indonesia, so the market rhythm has to be planned separately for each. You can go over the details in a strategy session or a consultation on LINE.
08
How it connects to other services
How the services affect each other
How does marketing strategy planning relate to your other services?+
Strategy planning is the starting point for every service and ties the whole path together. SEO & GEO, brand visuals, short video, customer relationships and sales process, and corporate training all take their direction and priorities from the strategy: what to do first, how far to take it and how many resources to commit.
I only want short videos or SEO. Do I have to do strategy planning first?+
You don't have to sign up for full strategy planning first, but I recommend at least a strategy session; for SEO, you can also start with a free website audit. Content without direction easily ends up fragmented: videos get views and the website gets traffic, but none of it turns into sales. Once you know who you sell to and why they should choose you, the other services know where to focus.
In what order should I do the six services?+
There's no fixed order; it depends on the biggest gap the strategy session uncovers. The full path is: SEO & GEO helps people find you, brand visuals make them trust you, short video makes them remember you, the sales process catches them, and CRM brings them back. Strategy planning identifies which part is weakest right now, and that's what we fix first.
How do strategy planning and customer relationship and sales process work together?+
Strategy brings the right people in; the sales process and customer relationships catch them, close the sale and bring them back. If you start running ads before the process is ready, messages get missed and customers slip away. That's why strategy planning often starts by deciding whether the sales process needs to come first.
Is corporate training related to strategy planning?+
Yes. In the end, strategy depends on people to carry it out. Frontline greetings, tone of voice, complaint handling and service SOPs shape the experience customers have once they walk in. Strategy planning points out which steps need training, and corporate training then brings that standard to every team member.
09
Our team & why us
Who does the work, how we are different
Why should I choose you for marketing strategy planning?+
Because I've run businesses and brands myself. With 18 years in e-commerce marketing and 12 years as a serial entrepreneur, I've been on both the client side and the agency side, so I understand what owners are thinking and where execution gets stuck. The sense of timing in my strategies was sharpened through one misstep and fix after another.
How are you different from a typical marketing consultant?+
The typical approach is to hand you a plan and leave you to execute it. I plan the market rhythm three to six months ahead, integrate and allocate your resources to do the right thing at each milestone, and build the system with you, reviewing it stage by stage. What matters isn't just what you do, but when you do it and how many resources you put behind it.
Do you handle strategy planning personally, or hand it off to a team?+
I personally handle the strategy session and planning. Parts that need specialist execution, such as video, visuals or technical work, are supported by long-term professional partners and teams, while I oversee the direction and quality.
What is your professional background and what certifications do you hold?+
I'm a Certified Training & Development Manager and a Certified Customer Relationship Service Manager (CRMS), both certified by 中華人事主管協會 (Taiwan), and I've spoken on marketing strategy planning and short video in the EMBA program at National Taipei University of Business. I mainly work with SMEs, aesthetic clinics, traditional businesses and second-generation successors.
